East 17’s Terry Coldwell has his eye on some big-name artists as he hopes to get the likes of Dua Lipa and Ed Sheeran on a track.
In an exclusive interview with the Daily Star, Terry said: “Our dream collab, there are a few artists that inspire us, ranging over different genres, I would say Old Skool would be, Stevie Wonder and Elton John.
“New Skool would be Dua Lipa, Bad Boy Chiller Crew, Ed Sheeran, David Guetta, Sia, Calvin Harris, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man.”
Singer Terry also slammed the idea of ever reuniting with his former bandmates from the original East 17 lineup.
Londoner Terry is currently the only original member left in the group.
The band was originally formed by himself, Brian Harvey, Tony Mortimer and John Hendy in the 90s’.
However, after multiple change-ups, it now consists of Terry, Robbie Craig and Joe Livermore.
While chatting exclusively to the Daily Star, Terry spoke about the idea of reuniting with the old line-up, which he said would “never” happen.
He explained: “I haven’t been in touch with the old band members, no one talks to each other, too much water under the bridge, as they say.
“I tried 10 years ago to get everyone together for the Big Reunion TV show but it never happened due to certain band members not wanting to do it.
“There won’t be a reunion.
“I don’t have regrets, everything happens for a reason, I’m in a very good place and my current band members are my best mates, we get along so well and there’s never any drama.
Talking about his love for his job and being in the music industry, Terry added: “The key is we love what you do and feel so privileged to have this fantastic job and to be performing all over the world for our fans.
“I love working with Robbie and Joe and we have a good laugh when we’re working.”
He also mentioned the group’s new song, a track titled I Just Wanna, which will be added to an album that will be released later on in the year.
Terry added: “The new song was written as a motivational song to tell everyone go and get your dream, go for it and don’t hold back. Live life and be happy!”
