As Emma stepped up to the podium, she was asked In Steve Coogan TV series ‘I’m Alan Partridge’, what kind of pasta does Alan refer to as Action man bow tie? Faravelli, Fettuccine, or Fusilli?

Luckily, she correctly answered Faravelli as the 62-year-old host confessed his lack of cookery talents in the kitchen.

He said: “I never see what they look like, they’re always covered in tomato sauce for me, unless it’s buried underneath all that cheese and the sauce I just eat it – does that make me a heathen?”

Mark quickly replied with: “It makes your a gourmand,” as the dad-of-two argued: “Pasta is pasta. I don’t care what shape it is, it all tastes the same.”

It was at this point that Mark asked him if he had been invited on any cookery shows throughout his career and if he had what his signature dish would be.

He said: “I’ve been meaning to ask, if you ever get invited on one of those cookery shows what would your signature dish be?”
