Atomic Kitten stars Natasha Hamilton and Liz McClarnon have dished the dirt on what it’s like being part of the iconic girl group.
Since finding fame in 1998, the Liverpool-based group have gone on to achieve success across the globe but now say they will only release music on their terms.
Over the years, they’ve had several changes in the lineup, most notably Kerry Katona leaving in 2001 and was subsequently replaced by Wallasey-born Jenny Frost.

Throwback to 2012 and Kerry re-joined the group alongside Liz McClarnon and Natasha Hamilton, 40, for ITV’s The Big Reunion, before Kerry left again in 2017.
During the Euros 2020 celebrations, Jenny, Natasha and Liz joined forces to release their single, Southgate You’re The One, a play on their single Whole Again which had become a football anthem.
Speaking exclusively about their bond, Natasha told Daily Star: “We’ve never really stopped, me and Liz have been gigging for maybe 20 of the 22 years we’ve been together as a band.
“The chemistry we have on stage, for me, I just love it, that’s why I love my job, I love performing, we’re so in sync, we have a laugh, we have good banter with the audience.
“It’s not a job, it’s just good fun and I feel so privileged that 22 years later, we still get to do the same job.”
Liz added: “We do it on our own terms, we do gigs every now and then, well, more than every now and then, quite a lot.
“It’s not a crazy lifestyle, we’re having a really, really nice life and we’re very lucky that we’ve been able to do that.
“Doing stuff with Jen, we love the idea of it, when we did the Euro stuff, it was so exciting.”
Mum-of-four Natasha continued: “We were planning to come back and tour with Blue but they moved their tour dates to December which none of us could do.
“Another tour came in for September but we’d already booked our calendars, our diaries and Jenny couldn’t do that.
“We are planning something really special to do with Jenny, we really want to do that, we’re in talks about it.”
Reflecting on their reunion for the Euros, Natasha explained: “It was really exciting because it was just happening in real-time, it wasn’t planned.
“We did a gig [at Boxpark Shoreditch], the song went viral and the next minute, we’re in the studio, Jenny’s in the studio and it was the craziest week of our lives.
“It reminded me of the week Whole Again went into the charts, it was the third time around, the excitement of ‘Oh my God, what’s going on? What’s going to happen?’ it’s a moment in time we’ll never forget.”
