Jessica Simpson has confessed that a “massive movie star” attempted to seduce her – despite having a partner at the time.
Opening up in her new mini-memoir Movie Star: They Always Say They’re Single, Jessica confessed that there is a “wide range of what monogamy means in Hollywood” – and the experience taught her it was true.
The singer was pursued, wooed and nearly seduced by the actor; who, she says, is “still a movie star” today.

At an MTV party back when her single A Little Bit was just released, Jessica was introduced to the man, who she only refers to throughout her book as ‘the Movie Star’.

She wrote: “This megastar, who I grew up thinking was so hot, eyeballed me up and down. Like he was undressing me with his eyes.”
Jessica even invited the star to be the leading man in her new music video, though he declined due to work commitments.
The pair ended up sharing a kiss when Jessica went to the actor’s hotel room to help him get dressed – with Jessica confessing she thought she might have his babies.
But that all changed when she discovered Movie Star had a girlfriend.

Jessica wrote in her new short story for Amazon: “It made me feel special that every beautiful woman in Hollywood was there and he wanted me.
“In fact, there was one other beautiful woman in his life: his girlfriend. Shortly after, I saw a photo of Movie Star on a red carpet with her. I was never ever in a million years going to be the other woman.”
The star then claimed that his relationship was “completely over”, and that they had to pretend to be together for the purposes of the press.

Jessica and Movie Star didn’t have sex, but not because he didn’t want to. In her new mini-memoir, the singer recalled how her beau had “spiritual” conversations about sex, suggesting he felt he had to “repent” for his sinful thoughts about her.
Ushered on a trip with the big star, Jessica was hustled up the fire escape into a hotel, driven in separate cars and abandoned in her room while the star went out to work.
Though she was treated to life in his private jet, Jessica eventually decided being his “on-call woman” wasn’t for her – and moved on to “the next adventure”.
She told People magazine: “I have learned that self-love is one of the keys to really loving someone else and that a true love will never make you question yourself or what’s real.
“Thanks to my amazing soulmate and husband [Eric Johnson], I am able to love passionately and without fear of being hurt.”
