ITV will experience a major schedule shake-up on the day of the King’s Coronation, with a big change in store for Good Morning Britain.
During Thursday’s instalment (April 27) of the ITV programme, presenter Charlotte Hawkins revealed there will be a special edition of the show on Saturday 6 May to mark the King’s Coronation.
Charlotte, 47, made the announcement after a new poll revealed that 3/4 of people in Scotland are not interested in the King’s Coronation.

Insisting that is not how the GMB team feel, she told viewers: “Well we’re excited here at Good Morning Britain to be celebrating the Coronation.
“I can confirm we’ve got a special Saturday edition of Good Morning Britain. We will be out and about. We’ll be capturing all the excitement. All the build up to this historical event.”
Sat alongside Adil Ray, Kate Garraway shared her excitement at the news as she insisted it will be a “wonderful” event.
“It will be so exciting. It will be a wonderful event,” the 55-year-old broadcaster said.
‘We’ll be lucky to be a part of it and then I’ll be heading over to a street party so I get to see it from angles which will be great.”
It comes after GMB viewers fumed after Adil suggested his co-host smelt like fish.
As the duo discussed whether pet owners should be vegan, the 49-year-old claimed you can smell when someone owns a pet.
Leaning over to Kate, Adil sniffed her before pointing and repeating: “Fish?”
Fans immediately stormed social media to slam Adil for the “disgusting remark.”
One fan wrote: “It’s a wonder Kate Garraway didn’t punch Adil Ray on the nose for saying he thought she smelled of fish !!!!!??? #GMB @GMB”
A second added: “@GMB Adil is so unprofessional. Viewers don’t want to see him sniffing Kate & saying she smells of fish. Has he finally lost it?”
@scotthalfpenny tweeted: “@GMB really offended that Adil said @kategarraway smelled of FISH! A disgusting misogynist comment that he should apologise for! #GMB,” fumed a third.
