The One And Only singer Chesney Hawkes delighted fans when he appeared on the Channel 4 soap in 2022 as a special guest at Nancy and Darren’s wedding.

The singer played his iconic hit as he arrived at the reception, with fans rushing to social media to share their love for the cameo.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Chesney revealed he would “never saying never” if the right soap part came along in Hollyoaks.

“I guess if I was offered the right part, then why not? The thing about me is that I’m definitely up for a challenge. I like to try new things,” said Chesney.

“First and foremost I’m a musician, and that’s what I’ll always do, but the great thing about being a celebrity these days is that all sorts of doors open to you.

“I’ve been a celebrity chef, an ice dancer, I’ve done all sorts of crazy things. I’ve done a bit of acting in the past, done quite a lot of musical theatre, so that’s definitely not off the cards by any means.”

Rick Astley

Kim bumped into the star when she was waiting for the bus as she left the village, with Rick admitting during ITV talk show Lorraine that his cameo was “pretty weird.”

“I’d hardly call it acting, it was just a fun thing,” said Rick.

“The whole thing was really bizarre, the storyline was pretty weird. It’s kind of a crazy storyline.

“They just asked me if I would do a cameo and I said, ‘Of course I would.'”

Rick added: “It was weird but it was also kind of fun, and also just to be on set for something that’s been around that long and just see the reality of it.”

“I feel like I’m a competition winner. I’m such a fan of the show so I still can’t believe I’m here.”
