In an episode of Molly Sims’ “Lipstick on the Rim” podcast she said: “Sometimes I try to — you know, Gwyneth’s in trouble for saying this — but sometimes I try to just drink coffee in the morning and stave off my hunger.”
The mother of three also admitted that she consumes calories when she is making packed lunches for her children.
She confessed: “If we’re being honest, yeah, I eat a chicken nugget in the morning while I’m packing lunches and there’s one left over.
“Pop it down the hatch!”
The Cinderella story actress then revealed that in terms of workouts, she sticks to HIIT (high-intensity interval training).
In March, Gwyneth faced criticism for talking about her very controversial meal plan.
In an interview with “The Art of Being Well” podcast, the actress said she has a coffee before fasting until midday.
She then exercises for an hour, typically has bone broth for lunch, and eats an early paleo dinner.
The Oscar-winning actress’s routine quickly went viral and she was called out for glorifying unhealthily restrictive eating.
Gwyneth reacted to the backlash by saying: “This was a transparent look at a conversation between me and my doctor.”
She explained that she was suffering from high levels of inflammation after having long Covid and that is why her diet is so restrictive.
The Hollywood actress explained: “It’s not meant to be advice for anybody else.”
