Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming Willis confessed she was “trying not to cry” as she shared her nine-year-old daughter’s dementia worries.
In a new Instagram video, Emma confessed that her daughter Evelyn has been researching her father’s condition after Bruce was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia earlier this year.
The emotional video saw Emma stripped back in sweatpants and a loose t-shirt, along with tortoiseshell glasses, as she told fans: “I have to tell you this story. I’m going to try and do it without crying, because when Evelyn told me this story I was an absolute puddle.

“So Evelyn says to me the other day, ‘Did you know that people with dementia can become severely dehydrated?’ And I said, ‘Oh, I didn’t know that, but how do you know that?’”
Emma continued: “She said, ‘I was at school the other day and I had some free time, and I was looking up fun facts about dementia’. Now that’s not funny, but it is kind of funny…
“She really is her father’s child, because these two love some random facts. So I said, ‘Okay, Evelyn, we will always make sure that daddy has a bottle of water in hand. Thank you for letting me know’.”
Choking up, Emma said: “I said, ‘That is the most loving and compassionate thing you can do, to be curious and educate yourself on your dad’s disease’.”
In an emotional caption, Emma quoted Adria Thompson of Be Light Care, writing: “‘On behalf of he person you’re caring for that has dementia, whether they can express it or not – I want to say thank you.
“Thank you for loving them, thank you for spending time to educate yourself about dementia. Because that is the most compassionate thing that you can do by having more insight into their world and the life they are experiencing that they can’t always express.’”
Bruce’s diagnosis came at the age of just 68, after he was initially diagnosed with aphasia last year.
And it left his wife Emma, 44, devastated – along with his five daughters.
Bruce shares daughters Rumer, 34; Scout, 31; and Tallulah, 29, with ex-wife Demi Moore, and welcomed Mabel, 11, and Evelyn, nine, with Emma.
