Tensions are rising on the ITV Cobbles this week as Justin Rutherford’s (Andrew Still) court case finally comes to an end following the horrendous acid attack.
On Coronation Street this week, Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) and Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) leave for court, the pair bump into Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott).
The mood between them quickly shifted as they awkwardly exchanged pleasantries before they uncomfortably walked into the courthouse.

Concerned fiancé Daniel can’t help but check in with Daisy as she receives a text to “Crystal” from Ryan, where he ignorantly admits that meeting up with Daisy was a huge mistake.
Heartbroken by the blunt admission, Daisy brushes off the text as Justin is led into the dock where both barristers deliver their closing speeches.
As she listened to their concluding statements, Daisy can’t help but feel drained of all confidence before the jury are sent to deliberate the case.
While she waits to hear the final verdict, Daniel quizzes Daisy about the obvious tension between her and Ryan.
Ashamed of the messy situation, Daisy decides to brush off the tension between them, claiming she just feels guilty over letting Ryan think that he’s in a relationship with Crystal for all this time.
As the jury return, the final verdict is delivered, but will Justin be spending time behind bars or will he be free to return to society once more?
Later on in the week, things take a turn for the worse when Carla discovers that Ryan is being catfished by someone pretending to be his former flame, Crystal.
Determined to get to the bottom if it, his sister Carla Connor (Alison King) urges him to find out who is behind the cruel scam and insists that he reports it to the police,
Daisy is utterly shell-shocked when she learns that her fake identity has been revealed while Carla and Ryan combine forces to work out who has been texting him for so long.
As the barmaid’s anxiety spikes, she decides enough is enough and puts an end to her alter ego Crystal, cutting off all contact between Ryan and her second phone.

Daniel attempts to reassure Daisy that everything will work out for the best now that Crystal has gone.
But the teacher reminds her that Ryan will need her friendship now more than ever as he struggles to move on from the breakup with a stranger.
But will he find out who was really behind it all?
