Susanna Reid appeared to defend her former Good Morning Britain co-host Piers Morgan after he made a comment about Prince Harry.
It’s no secret that Piers is a fierce critic of the Duke and his most recent swipe at the former senior royal came during the Duke of Sussex’s ongoing High Court trial against MGN.
Prince Harry, 38, has accused MGN of alleged unlawful information gathering.

The Duke is suing MGN for damages and claimed journalists at its titles were linked to alleged methods which included unlawful interception of voicemail.
He’s become the first royal to testify in court in 130 years and appeared at the High Court for the first time on Tuesday (June 6).
Piers was asked what he thought about Harry’s trial by a Sky News reporter, prompting the TalkTV host to admit that he hadn’t seen it.
He seemed to take a swipe at Harry’s latest book Spare when he added: “I wish him luck with his privacy campaign. I look forward to reading it in his next book.”
And Susanna said on Wednesday’s edition (June 7) of GMB that Piers made an “interesting point” about the Duke.
She said that Harry “talks to people in a way that maybe he wants to keep things private.”
Susanna then added: “But Piers makes an interesting point there. Whether you love him or hate him, whether you agree with what Harry said in court or not.
“The point is, that Harry and Meghan have gone public with so much of their private lives. They’ve done Netflix documentaries which had massive ratings. They did not go under the radar.
“Spare blurted huge amounts of personal stuff, not just about his life but about his family’s life. About William, about Camilla, about the King.”
She then asked: “Does that mean that when he then goes to court and says “My privacy was intruded upon,” he doesn’t have the same sympathy as if he had just gone and led a private life?”
Giving evidence in the High Court, Harry accused Piers of “horrific personal attacks” against him and wife Meghan Markle.
Susanna has previously defended Prince Harry and insisted she understands how he feels about the British press.
Prince Harry has claimed that around 140 articles published between 1996 and 2010 contained information gathered using unlawful methods, with 33 selected for the trial.
MGN has denied that 28 out of 33 of the articles involved unlawful information gathering and not admitted the remaining five articles.
The publisher is contesting Prince Harry’s claims and has either denied or not admitted each of them.
An MGN spokesperson said: “Where historical wrongdoing has taken place, we have made admissions, take full responsibility and apologise unreservedly, but we will vigorously defend against allegations of wrongdoing where our journalists acted lawfully.
“MGN is now part of a very different company. We are committed to acting with integrity and our objective in this trial is to allow both the business and our journalists to move forward from events that took place many years ago.”
