Tipping Point fans slam ‘rubbish’ mystery prize as player wins unusual item on ITV show

Fans of ITV’s Tipping Point were left unimpressed during the latest episode after a player received an indoor smart garden as their mystery prize.

After managing to gain the lucky mystery counter from the machine, contestant Sue was evidently thrilled during Tuesday’s instalment (August 28) of the popular game show.

Given the fact that there are only three mystery counters in the machine during each show, the prize token is often rare to come by.

However, when presenter Ben Shephard revealed what Sue’s prize would be, fans at home were left fuming and took to social media to complain.

Sue received an unusual prize on Tipping Point

Heading over to X formerly known as Twitter, one frustrated viewer said: “You’ve won yourself an indoor self smart garden? What a prize! Said absolutely no one, ever.”

Another penned: “Wow really rubbish mystery prize again.”

A third chimed: “Sue is nominated for the best actress Oscar, looking happy for receiving that s***e prize.”

Another viewer said: “A f***ing prize of plants?”

Fans were not best pleased with the prize on Ben Shephard’s show

While a fifth spectator suggested: “Donate that garden to the Tipping Point producer Sue.”

This isn’t the first time fans have been left fuming at the mystery prize on offer on the show.

Earlier this year, viewers were left gobsmacked when a player named Fiona won a “six-month supply of pasta” as hr winning item.

Fuming at the scenes, fans complained that show was “running out of ideas”.

Heading to social media in their droves at the time, one viewer penned: “What a crap mystery prize and another exclaimed: “Oh for fu**’s sake, now THIS as a mystery prize?! They’re well out of ideas!”

Players Sue and Michael competed for the final place

Although Sue did pretty well for herself on the show, she hit a stumbling block during the penultimate round when she went head-to-head with her fellow contestant Micheal.

With both players banking £1,400 from the machine, only one person could go through to the next round.

But although Sue was quick on her buzzer when Ben asked her a question regarding world continents, the player unfortunately got it wrong.

With Michael being the only player standing, he went home with a respectable £2,300.
