Emmerdale airs unexpected death as fans ‘work out’ truth about Manpreet necklace

Emmerdale fans were stunned as Victor Anderson (Eddie Osei) unexpectedly died shortly after being accused of stealing Manpreet Sharma’s (Rebecca Sarker) necklace.

During Tuesday’s instalment (August 29) of the ITV soap, Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) arrived at Manpreet’s to collect a necklace that belonged to his late father, Rishi (Bhasker Patel).

But as Jai opened the box, the necklace was nowhere to be seen.

Manpreet was quick to accuse Victor of stealing the heirloom, but he insisted he was innocent of such a crime.

After jumping to the defence of her husband, Claudette (Flo Wilson) was shocked when she pulled the necklace out of Victor’s pocket before abruptly ending their newly reconciled relationship.

But fans were quick to accuse Charles (Kevin Mathurin) of planting the necklace as a way to remove his father from the picture.

Sharing their theories online, one viewer wrote: “Got a feeling that Charles planted the neckless,” as another penned: “I think Charles has set him up!”

“100 percent Charles planted that,” agreed a third as someone else declared: “Can’t stand Victor, but Charles 100% put it there”.

While a fifth echoed: “I wouldn’t put it past him to steal any damn thing but it looks helluva careless of Victor not to have hidden Manpreet’s necklace better… maybe Charles is framing Victor to get shot of him.”

After Manpreet called the police, Victor begged Claudette to take the blame before fleeing the scene, still proclaiming his innocence.

Charles eventually found Victor in the church where he was sat with his head hanging towards the floor.

The vicar began belittling his father, telling him that he had it coming and brought everything on himself.

But as Charles took a closer look, his face dropped as he realised his father wasn’t breathing.

Claudette then entered the room and quickly realised her unresponsive husband was dead, breaking down as she cradled him in her arms.

It appeared Victor died from a brain aneurysm which he was revealed to be suffering with last month.
