Big Brother fans are concerned that ITV2 bosses are turning the reality show into Love Island.
The social experiment has returned after a five-year hiatus and 16 housemates are currently living the most famous abode in Britain. Hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best spoke to each of the new contestants before they left their normal lives behind and enter the competition.
With £100,000 up for grabs, the housemates will need to take on challenges and survive the weekly evictions to be with in the chance of being crowned the 19th show winner.

However, some viewers were left distracted during Monday’s (October 9) episode with fans saying that the production is very similar to ITV2 dating show Love Island.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: “#BBUK @bbuk STOP with the freaking music. Absolutely ruining it.” Another added: “Ok, the constant music at the start of every scene is too much & giving me crappy Love Island vibes.” A third person said: “They need to lose the lame, Love Island musical inserts.”
“A fourth social media user wrote: “ITV/ITV2 need to cut out the incidental music in big brother. This Hollyoaks or Love island. if we wanna bring the ‘real’ back into reality tv, let us hear the housemates exactly as it is in the house!”

Elsewhere in the episode, contestant Hallie shared a major update with her housemates and told them know something she’s been holding back. Gathering them all around, she says: “I thought I’d let everyone know I’m trans, if you didn’t know already. I just thought I’d make that loud and clear. I’m a trans woman if you didn’t know.”
Supporting her, Hallie’s fellow housemates give her a hug. Chanelle then says: “Good for you. That’s very brave of you.” Encouraging Hallie, Dylan says: “This is a moment. I like it.”

Hallie then confesses that she was anxious to share her news. She then says: “I don’t know why I was nervous.” A touching moment is shared amongst the group as Farida replies: “You don’t need to be nervous.”
Big Brother airs Sunday to Thursday on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm followed by Big Brother Late & Live at 10pm
