A Place in the Sun sisters couldn’t stop crying after they made their mum’s dream come true on the Channel 4 show.
Sisters Pamela and Sheila were looking for a house in Oliva, a place in Spain with lots of bars, restaurants, and views of the sea. They told presenter Danni Menzies they had £70,000 to spend.
They said they wanted to remember their mum who passed away while they were planning to move to another country. The sisters were looking for a home with at least two bedrooms and a big outside area to enjoy the sun.

Danni had never seen anything like it before when the sisters said they brought their mum’s ashes with them. The host of the programme, which repeated yesterday (March 20), thought it was ‘really special’ that they included her in their journey in a ‘first’ for the show.
A few houses really caught their eye and made them think about buying. But one house was so special that they started crying as soon as they walked in.
Pamela said about the three-bedroom house with a big roof terrace: “This is what we want. We don’t want a holiday-looking place, it’s got to be a home.”
As they looked around the house, which had three floors, both women agreed it was “perfect”. They were so sure this was “the one” that they quickly asked Danni to make an offer.
The property became theirs after the seller accepted £62,500. This, once again, sent the sisters sobbing with joy before the women raised a glass to their mum, who’s ashes were on the table with them, to mark the start of their life in Spain.
