Robin Windsor’s family are getting ready to say their final goodbyes to the Strictly Come Dancing favourite.
They’ve revealed the plans for a special send-off for Robin, who sadly died at just 44 years old. The star was a talented dancer and was loved on Strictly.
He was found in a London hotel room not long after he got back from an amazing trip to South Africa. His Strictly pals and famous dance partners have been really sad, talking about how kind he was and how bravely he fought his mental health problems.

Robin had been dealing with depression since he was 19 and he worked hard to help others by being part of the mental health charity SANE. It’s been a month since we heard the very sad news that Robin had passed away.
Now, his family has said that there will be a private funeral for him back in his hometown of Ipswich. After the funeral, they’re going to have a big celebration of all the wonderful things about Robin’s life.
The family also said a big thank you to all the fans who have been sharing their love and memories of Robin, reports the Mirror. They shared: “On Tuesday 26th March we will lay our beloved Robin to rest in his hometown of Ipswich.
“The funeral will be a private service for invited family, friends and colleagues who were important to Robin in both his personal life and professional career. At a future date, we welcome the opportunity for an invite-only celebration of his life. In the meantime, we once again thank everyone for the love and memories shared of Robin.”
News of Robin’s death was released on 20th February. A statement from Sisco Entertainment, which represented him in various areas of theatre and corporate entertainment, said: “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of our beloved friend, Robin Windsor.”
They went on: “His extraordinary ability to express emotion through movement captivated audiences, leaving them spellbound with every step. Beyond his impeccable dancing, Robin’s vibrant spirit lit up the room, infusing rehearsals and performances with infectious energy and warmth.
“His laughter was contagious, his kindness boundless. His friendship was a gift cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Robin, you will be deeply missed,” they said: “Your legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share in your light.”
