Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan are banned from being too cheeky when they host the BAFTA TV Awards.
The comics have penned a string of gags for next Sunday’s glitzy bash.
But we can reveal they all have to be approved by organisers, so anything too rude will end up being ditched.

Rob, 38, said: “Our jokes have to go through a couple of meetings where people double check everything. When we hosted last year, there were a few of them that got calmed down a bit.”

Romesh, 46, added: “When you work in comedy and write jokes for a living, it becomes impossible for you to be offended by anything.
“It means my radar of what’s offensive is completely off. There is nothing that I would find shocking.
“But for the awards, we have to try to come up with stuff where the tone is appropriate.”
Ricky Gervais famously went all out with near-the-knuckle jokes when he hosted the Golden Globes.

The funnyman ruthlessly poked fun at a string of A List stars including Mel Gibson and Leonardo DiCaprio.
But telly stars will be safe next weekend.
Rob said: “The actors and actresses might not want us to take the piss out of them. It’s a big night for them. They will dress up and they’ll probably be feeling a bit nervous. So you don’t want to ruin their night.
“What Gervais does suits his personality, but we’re a little bit more laid back.”
Romesh added: “I think what Gervais did was great. But I don’t think that style is right for the BAFTAs.
“I don’t think us absolutely hammering everybody in the room is the way to go. It’s their night. You have to try and walk the line.
“What we’ll do will be more of an affectionate teasing. That’s the angle that we’ll be going down. We’re never trying to absolutely skewer somebody.”
The bash is one of the poshest events in the showbiz calendar.
Being the hosts for such a fancy do is nerve-wracking for Rob and Romesh.
Some of the biggest stars in TV will be in the audience and millions will be watching at home.
Rob said: “There’s a lot of pressure because it’s a live event. You’re not going to be saved in the edit. It’s getting pumped straight out on TV.”
Romesh added: “Also, we’ll be hosting something that people would watch regardless of who the hosts are.
“Normally people will watch us because they want to watch us. But with the BAFTAs, there will be people who aren’t watching because of us. So there’s pressure to keep them happy.”
