Noel Fitzpatrick faced his own brush with injury during an operation on Supervet.
In an intense new episode of the Channel 4 show, viewers tuned in to see Noel tackle several cases but were unexpectedly gripped by drama when he assisted adventurous cat Oz, known for his tree-climbing escapades. Concerned owners Cassie and Ashley knew something was wrong when Oz started limping, prompting an immediate visit to the Supervet star.
The tension peaked as Noel swiftly whisked Oz away for surgery. However, it wasn’t just about saving a limb; Noel encountered a setback himself dislocating his thumb amidst the high-stakes procedure.

He was seen pacing the theatre in obvious discomfort, eventually forced to snap his thumb back into place on the spot, a manoeuvre he grimly noted wasn’t his first, reports the Mirror.
Viewers were quick to express their emotions on social media, where nerves and adoration poured out in equal measure for the brave vet and his furry patients. One just had to voice: “Why am I watching the #Supervet? Much too stressful.”
Meanwhile, a different follower gushed: “I love @ProfNoelFitz #Supervet.”
And, after all the theatre room turmoil, Noel’s skilled hands ensured success Oz made a splendid recovery post-surgery, showcasing once again why Supervet continues to win hearts.
At the end of the episode, Cassie and Ashley shared that Oz was back to his bouncy self with Ashley remarking: “You can see his confidence building.”
The vet Noel is nothing short of a miracle-worker. Having snagged his Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from University College Dublin, the man’s been on an upward trajectory ever since he flung open the doors of his ground-breaking surgery, Fitzpatrick Referrals in Surrey, back in 2008.
His small screen debut got the green light thanks to none other than Cris Evans. After Noel sorted out Evans’ pooch Enzo’s tricky spine issue in 2008, the radio legend used his BBC ties to pitch a distinguished series for him, The Bionic Vet, which hit the airwaves in 2010.
