Myleene Klass still suffers dental problems after eating 60 mouse tails on I’m A Celeb

Myleene Klass admitted that she still suffers from dental problems after eating 60 mouse tails on the I’m A Celebrity.

The 45-year-old TV and radio presenter was crowned the first ever legend of the ITV show last year. After successfully avoiding the famous eating trial during her first jungle stint in 2006, the Hear’Say singer won the series after taking part in a gruesome eating challenge with runner-up Jordan Banjo in South Africa.

The mum-of-three was tasked to endure a gruelling ‘supercharged’ eating trial for the All Stars final, which featured a major twist. They were asked to bet how many grisly creepy crawlies they could eat within five minutes before the highest bidder put their money where their mouth is.

Now, one year later, the TV presenter revealed she is still feeling the effects of the gag-worthy challenge. Taking to her Instagram Story on Wednesday (August 7), the musician updated her fans on her health since the show ended last May.

Sharing a selfie while she sat in the dentist’s chair, she confessed: “A year later and I’m still paying the price for winning the jungle. I ate 60 mice tails and they got took their revenge on my mouth.”

She later shared a snap of her daughter setting off for festival this weekend, and offered the teenager to take her I’m A Celebrity backpack for the trip. Showing off her khaki bag which was embroidered with her name proudly, she showed off her daughter’s packing before her journey.

Myleene captioned the clip: “Another IACGMOOH throw back today. My daughter is off to a festival and has taken my trusty Jungle backpack for good measure. Love this so much [crown emoji].”

At the end of the show, the broadcaster opened up about her experience and claimed she went through a challenging ordeal to cross the final hurdle. She told viewers: “I don’t know what to say to you, it was the gnarliest, grisliest challenge I have ever, ever put myself through.

“I would rather walk back out onto that platform which is 1000+ feet above sea level [World’s End trial] than put any of the stuff back in my mouth again. 40 spoons of fermented tofu which tasted like death! It was grim! I put 60 mouse tails in my mouth!”

Two weeks after she returned to the UK, the doting mum decided to donate her eye-watering winnings to charity. The starlet pocketed an impressive £100,000 after being crowned the ITV legend and made sure to give the money to a charity close to her heart.

In a touching post on Instagram, the star revealed to her adoring fans that the money was going to Save the Children, which she has been an ambassador for over 12 years. At the time she wrote: “I am proud to donate my @imacelebrity prize money of £100,000 to @savechildrenuk.

“I’ve been an ambassador for 11 years in which time I’ve travelled the globe helping STC. The things I’ve seen will stay with me forever.” Want all the biggest Showbiz and TV news straight to your inbox? Sign up for our free Daily Star Showbiz newsletter.
