Oasis are set to make a big announcement as preparations for their reunion tour continue.
The band is gearing up for their tour – with the pair coming together to perform for the first time in over 15 years next summer. Their reunion stunned fans after Noel and Liam Gallagher publicly buried the hatchet to put their decade-long feud to an end.
Now Oasis fans are gearing up for the tour that will take the brothers around the world next year, but some are now convinced that the pair will put out new music together – their first studio album in seventeen years.

The speculation came from BBC Radio X DJ Dan O’Connell, who appeared to tease a big announcement to his listeners on Friday evening (November 22). While chatting in between his playlist, Dan said that fans of the brotherly band would need to tune into another BBC Radio show on Monday (November 25) for some “massive news”.
“I got a message from very important people at Radio X,” he said. “They told me to make sure I mention that on Monday morning Chris Moyles has something big for Oasis fans; if that is you there is something massive happening.”
Since then, passionate fans have dug out anything they can find about the band in recent months, with videos surfacing on the likes of TikTok and Instagram claiming to have snippets of new music from the band. They explained the songs came from a mixing desk, whilst others claimed it would be a new single that would be played on Chris Moyles’ show.
However, speaking to the Mirror newspaper, sources close to the band have said what is being revealed will concern those who could not get tickets for their UK tour. Tickets flew off the shelves in early September as hundreds of thousands of people tried to get themselves entry to the sought-after gig run.
“The rumour got a life of its own and in reality you are looking at something like prizes and some kind of big Oasis giveaway or competition,” the insider revealed. “It is still something to celebrate but it is not the big announcement some fans were hoping for.”
Radio X, fearing they may have stoked the fire of fans’ fury, have since toned down their approach to the surprise reveal. Instead of teasing news about Oasis, the radio station is now saying: “If you missed out on Oasis tickets, you need to tune in.”
Liam himself has been known to get involved in the drama and hysteria, teasing new music when band initially announced their reunion. In response to a fan who asked if there was new music on the way, he penned: “Yep, it’s already finished.”
But in a later post, the Oasis frontman dispelled rumours that the pair were releasing new songs, saying: “No Oasis album in the making.” When he was quizzed by fans on social media about his change in tone, he hit back: “I was f***ing joking; remember that – and the reason being because everyone is a little uptight these days, I’m sorry if I have upset anyone but f**k me it was a laugh.”
