Black Sabbath tickets – how to get yourself into Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell show

Black Sabbath are playing one final show.

The legendary band, fronted by the iconic Ozzy Osbourne, will be playing together for the first time in 20 years. After a two decade long hiatus the rockers will take to Villa Park, Birmingham on 5 July to headline Back To The Beginning.

All profits will be donated equally to Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorn Children’s Hospice.

Ozzy will reportedly play his own set before his Black Sabbath bandmates join him for a final farewell blowout. Playing alongside them throughout the day will be Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Halestorm, Alice in Chains, Lamb of God, Anthrax and Mastodon.

Excited fans are eagerly awaiting their chance to nab tickets to the most coveted comeback performance of the decade – Aston Villa season ticket holders and members had access to pre-sale tickets from 10am on Thursday 13 February, but general sale starts 10am Friday 14 February.

Demand for this one-off show is due to be extremely high, so it is recommended to head to the Ticketmaster website in good time. Be prepared to sit in the queue as a best effort to secure your desired purchase, although this is not guaranteed.

Black Sabbath are credited as the founding the genre of heavy metal and Metallica’s Lars Ulrich has previously praised the rockers for their influence. He said: “If there was no Black Sabbath, I could possibly still be a morning newspaper delivery boy.”
