Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay celebrated their wedding at Bath Abbey on December 27, followed by a star-studded reception at Georgian Manor Kin House with celebrity guests including the Beckhams
Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay are set to host their wedding reception at the opulent Georgian Manor Kin House following their ceremony at Bath Abbey today.
The spectacular venue features a hidden stage, private swimming pool and sprawling 10-acre gardens, plus a dedicated dressing room complete with hair-washing facilities and an on-site barber on the upper level for “pre-party preparations”.
After last year’s engagement, triple Olympic gold medallist swimmer Peaty said “I do” to Ramsay at Bath Abbey today (December 27). Star-studded guests include the Beckhams, Dragons’ Den personality Sara Davies, who appeared on Strictly Come Dancing with Gordon’s daughter, Tilly, and television presenter Dan Walker.
The bride-to-be was seen departing the rural retreat earlier today in a blacked-out Rolls Royce en route to Bath Abbey, reports the Mirror.
Attendees will head back to Kin House where festivities will continue in honour of the couple’s marriage.
The revelries appear destined to last well into the early hours, with the luxurious manor’s website highlighting their bar remains open until dawn.
It states: “Guests staying with us are welcome to carry on the party in Fitz Bar, which is open until the early hours.”
The wedding party can then remedy any morning-after effects with a private yoga class or a refreshing swim in the venue’s brand-new pool. The website states: “We can organise a range of classes, therapies and activities to keep you busy while you’re with us. Keep a clear head with a yoga class on the morning of your wedding, have a restorative massage, or take on your friends in a spot of croquet, boules or kubb.”
The site goes on: “The house has 12 bedrooms sleeping 24, which are exclusively available for you and your guests. They range from Biggest – with freestanding bathtubs overlooking the gardens – to Little. Each one comes with help-yourself mini bars featuring a range of treats and drinks, fluffy robes and Verden products in the bathroom.
“Whether you’re 20 or 200, there are lots of lovely spots to get married in the house and around the grounds.”
The pair’s nuptial arrangements have captured headlines in recent weeks, with a family feud on Peaty’s side leading to him barring all but one relation from the service.
Given the considerable buzz around the wedding and the famous faces in attendance, there was unsurprisingly a significant media contingent outside the abbey as the bride arrived on Sunday, with tight security in place.
Nevertheless, whilst most journalists had been positioned in a designated zone at the front of the venue, there were some unpleasant scenes when other paparazzi photographers reportedly charged from a back entrance. It’s alleged that a group attempted to disrupt Ramsay and her father’s arrival, leading to clashes with security staff outside the abbey, according to Wales Online.
As bodyguards swiftly formed a protective barrier around the Ramsays, a scuffle reportedly broke out in a narrow passageway next to the venue. It’s believed that both the bride and the Hell’s Kitchen star found themselves caught up in the ensuing chaos.
Once the pandemonium subsided, Adam and Holly exchanged vows and emerged from Bath Abbey radiating joy.
Adam, 30, and Holly, 25, initially crossed paths on the BBC show Strictly Come Dancing. Adam was a contestant in the 2021 series, as was Holly’s sister, Tilly Ramsay.
Although there were no immediate sparks – Adam was still involved with his son’s mother, Eiri Munro – their first meeting was facilitated by the tight-knit Strictly community.
Following Adam and Eiri’s split in August 2022, his bond with Holly began to deepen. By June 2023, they went public with their relationship, frequently sharing glimpses of their life together online.
Their love story quickly escalated, culminating in Adam popping the question during a romantic Cornwall retreat in September 2024.
