Love Island Luke M sets sights on Demi as couple get close on beds during date

Luke Mabbott hasn’t been the most successful contestant on this year’s Love Island.

The Justin Bieber lookalike originally coupled with Jess Gale, but their budding romance was cut short when Mike Boateng made a beeline for the blonde bombshell.

His run with bad romantic luck didn’t stop there as he was recently dumped by Natalia Zoppla, whom he met in Casa Amor.

On tonight’s episode, the Geordie hunk eyes up his next potential flame as he shows an interest in Demi Jones.

With Luke M effectively single in the Villa – after he and Natalia agreed to just be friends – Mike pulls him for a chat to see if he might be interested in another Islander that is also recently single.

Mike asks Luke M: “What do you think of Demi?”

“She’s such a nice girl,” Luke M replies.

Mike says: “I honestly think that Demi is an incredible girl and I think maybe cast a glancing eye on her a little bit and see what she’s about. Be open.”

Taking Mike’s advice, Luke M opens up about a potential new romance in the Beach Hut: “I think that I kind of have to give it a chance and see where things go with Demi and see what kind of happens.”

And Demi admits she’s “excited” by her could-be romance with Luke M.

Meanwhile, Demi confesses: “We’re both in a way single together. We both sort of looked at each other and thought, ‘Why have we not pursued this before?’

“I’m excited to see if we do gel.”

And leaving nothing to chance, Siânnise and Luke T set about creating a date for the pair on the daybeds that evening.

Love Island continues on ITV2 at 9pm.
