Glastonbury Festival have made an announcement confirming the fate of the 50th anniversary gathering this year amid Coronavirus fears.
Emily Eavis made an announcement on Instagram earlier this evening saying they plan keep “working hard to deliver” the festival in June.
She released then lineup on her Instagram page, sharing the post with her 76,400 followers alongside the caption: “So, after much consideration given the current circumstances, and with the best of intentions, here is the first list of musical acts for Glastonbury 2020.
“As things stand we are still working hard to deliver our 50th anniversary Festival in June and we are very proud of the bill that we have put together over the last year or so.

“No one has a crystal ball to see exactly where we will all be 15 weeks from now, but we are keeping our fingers firmly crossed that it will be here at Worthy Farm for the greatest show on Earth!
“As always this is just a taste of what is to come, we plan to announce many more artists and attractions, area by area, over the coming weeks leading up to the full line-up in May.
“In the meantime we post this with much love to all.”
The incredible lineup includes some jaw-dropping acts so far, with the bill including Sir Paul McCartney, Diana Ross, Kendrick Lamar and Taylor Swift.
Members of the public who bought tickets to the popular festival will have to wait to see if the event will go-ahead or be cancelled/postponed.

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, many events have been cancelled or postponed.
Coachella has been postponed, with the US festival now set to happen in October instead of April.
This is after Boris Johnson announced the UK has no reached the next phase in the process.
The “delay” phase means that all citizens may be told to stay at home and self isolate while the country tries to prevent the virus spreading.
