Jennifer Lopez Accused of Stealing From Beyonce With 2020 AMAs Performance

The ‘Jenny from the Block’ singer’s short hair, sexy catsuit and chair dance during her set at the American Music Awards draw comparison to Beyonce’s 2014 Grammys performance.

    Nov 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – Jennifer Lopez has created a buzz online following her performance at the 2020 American Music Awards, but not all for a good reason. The singer has been accused of stealing Beyonce Knowles’ concept for her set at the Sunday, November 22 show.
The “Hustlers” star set the temperature rising with her steamy performance that night as she donned a semi-sheer catsuit while performing “Pa Ti”. Rocking short hair, she also showed sensual chair dance with several backup dancers during her solo set.
J.Lo was later joined by Maluma to deliver “Lonely”. The 51-year-old actress seduced her collaborator as she hopped on top of a table and got hot and heavy with the 26-year-old Colombian-born singer.
While many were mesmerized by J.Lo’s performance, Beyhive couldn’t help noticing that the Latina songstress/dancer’s outfit, look and dance were similar to their favorite artist’s at the 2014 Grammy Awards. They soon took Twitter to make the accusation against the “On the Floor” hitmaker.

“jlo wanna be beyonce so bad, the thief striked once again,” one person posted on the blue bird app alongside a side-by-side picture of J.Lo at 2020 AMAs and Bey at 2014 Grammys. Another remarked, “jlo really had beyonce’s grammys 2014 look.”

“Outfit, hair, dance… but one thing is sure: she CAN’T sing like queen Beyonce. Beyonce is the standard, so I’m not really surprised,” a third user slammed J.Lo. A fourth person insisted, “Before y’all talk about ‘Beyonce didn’t invent dancing on a chair’ let’s not act like J-Lo didn’t have the same outfit, same hairstyle & similar choreography.”
Some others claimed J.Lo has had a long history of copying other artists’ concepts, with one commenting, “Jennifer has been stealing from black women for years.” Another cheeky user, meanwhile, described J.Lo and Maluma’s set as “beyonce and jay-z performing drunk in love #AMAs2020.”
There were a few, however, who have come to J.Lo’s defense, with one saying, “She was inspired by King Bey,” instead of stealing from Bey. Another clapped back at the haters, “Everyone is always hating.”
“JLO has been doing this chair dance for years even performs it in Vegas y’all are so problematic and bored.. they need to let y’all go outside more,” a J.Lo fan claimed. Another person blasted the critics for “reaching.”

J.Lo herself has not responded to the allegations of her stealing Bey’s concept.

Kanye opened his message for Kim, who was in a relationship with NBA player Kris Humphries at the time, by writing, “Late is better than never!” He then added, “You’re my devil, you’re my angel. You’re my Heaven, you’re my Hell. You’re my now. You’re my forever. You’re my freedom. You’re my jail. You’re my lies. You’re my truth. You’re my war. You’re my truce.”

“He took the poem he wrote me and made it the song. I keep everything!” so she shared.

The former protege of the late Juice WRLD scores his top 3 album on Billboard Hot 200 after he releases a deluxe version of his first commercial mixtape.

    Nov 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – Juice WRLD would be so proud. His rap protege The Kid LAROI broke into Billboard Hot 200 with his debut commercial mixtape “F*ck Love”. The album gained new steam following the release of the deluxe edition which added seven new tracks.
The original version featured a collaboration with the late Juice WRLD while the re-release was powered by additional guests like NBA YoungBoy, Marshmello, and Machine Gun Kelly. It made a huge leap from No. 81 to No. 3 on the U.S. albums chart.
He explained the album title in an interview, “I’m 16 – I’m young as f**k. And I think most teens start going through their girl problems and get their first crush. My experience went a bit south so that’s how I was feeling at the time when I was making songs at the time, so I made a project about it.”

“I do believe in love. I don’t believe you find it at 16 but I think I believe in it. Before I was popping and I was just living in Australia I had a girlfriend that cheated on me with like four other dudes. I was only 14 but it f**king burned and from that point on I was like ‘f**k love, it doesn’t exist.’ ”
LAROI did talk about getting sick and tired of love and the struggles that come with it in the song “So Done”. But he showed a different side of relationship in the track “Always Do” as he narrated a couple who always found their way back to each other despite their differences.
Among the bonus tracks, “So Done” stood out. The Aussie-born and -raised star scored his highest-charting single in his home country as the solo song peaked at No. 7 on ARIA Singles chart. It additionally climbed up to the top 60 on Billboard Hot 100.
It’s his second top 60 on Hot 100. He previously peaked at No. 52 with “Go” that featured his late mentor Juice WRLD.

John Lennon's Album Signed for His Murderer to Be Up for Auction Once Again

The ‘Double Fantasy’ LP, which features Mark David Chapman’s forensically enhanced fingerprints, has already been sold twice since 1999, and is now expected to be sold at $2 million.

    Nov 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – A copy of John Lennon’s “Double Fantasy” album, autographed for The Beatles’s killer, hours before he murdered the star, is once again up for auction.
The LP, which was released three weeks before he was gunned down outside his home in New York City in 1980, shows Lennon with his wife Yoko Ono on the cover, and features his autograph in blue ink over Ono’s neck, along with a ‘1980’ inscription.
Lennon signed the album for Mark David Chapman as he and Ono left The Dakota apartment building in New York for a recording session on December 8, 1980.
The crazed fan then stashed the souvenir in a large flower planter by the entrance of the building, near Central Park, and waited until the couple returned more than five hours later.

Chapman shot Lennon twice in the back and twice in the shoulder. He was pronounced dead 10 minutes later upon arriving at a local hospital. After the shooting, a building superintendent found the signed album and turned it into police to be used as evidence in the case, according to the New York Daily News.
Investigators returned the album, which still features Chapman’s forensically enhanced fingerprints, to the man who had found it about a year after the murder, along with a letter of gratitude from the district attorney.
The rock and roll memorabilia has already been sold twice since 1999, and will go under the hammer again on Monday, November 23 at Goldin Auctions, according to TMZ, where it’s projected to fetch up to $2 million ($1.5 million).
Chapman, now 65, has been denied parole 11 times since he became eligible for release in 2000. He remains in custody at the Wende Correctional Facility near Buffalo, New York.

AMAs 2020: Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes and Billie Eilish Offer Show-Stopping Performances

    Instagram

Raising the heat at the 48th annual American Music Awards is Jennifer Lopez, who takes the stage to offer sensual performances of ‘Pa Ti’ and ‘Lonely’ alongside Maluma while donning a sheer catsuit.

    Nov 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – The 2020 AMAs had the best performer line-up to help further give more excitement to the show. Among those who hit the stage at the event, which took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 22, were Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes who debuted the live performance of their new song “Monster” at the award-giving event.
The song, which was off Shawn’s forthcoming fourth studio album “Wonder”, saw the pair singing about dealing with society’s expectations as a public figure. Prior to the performance, Justin kicked it off with a solo performance of his single “Lonely”. That night marked his return to the AMAs stage after skipping the event for four years.

Raising the heat later that night was Jennifer Lopez. Donning a sheer catsuit, J.Lo took the stage to offer sensual performance of “Pa Ti”. The dimly lit stage intensified the sensuality of the performance as back dancers were trapped in cages. Maluma then joined her on stage to perform “Lonely” before the 51-year-old could be seen hopping on top of a table and getting hot and heavy with her collaborator.

Billie Eilish also returned to the AMAs stage this year to perform her new track “Therefore I Am” alongside her brother Finneas. Staying true to her fashion, Billie donned a cardigan and long shorts. However, the young artist successfully made fans hot and bothered with her incredibly sexy and confident dance moves.
“BILLIE EILISH RUN ME OVER CHALLENGE #AMAs,” one fan reacted to her performance. Echoing the sentiment, another fan wrote on Twitter, “anyways billie eilish supremacy.”
Another notable performance that night was from Katy Perry. Instead of wearing her usual over-the-top costume, the new mom hit the stage while rather dressing down. Belting out “Only Love” with Darius Rucker at the 48th annual American Music Awards, the 36-year-old opted to wear an oversized faded blue jacket and matching jeans. That was her first awards show appearance since giving birth to her and fiance Orlando Bloom’s daughter Daisy.

Hosted by Taraji P. Henson, the 2020 AMAs saw Taylor Swift, Doja Cat and BTS Bangtan Boys being among the winners.

Radiohead Saddened by Engineer's Late Negligence Acknowledgement Over 2012 Stage Collapse

The rock band has spent years trying to bring Dominec Cugliari and event executives to justice for the tragic death of Scott Johnson at Downsview Park in Toronto, Canada.

    Nov 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – Rockers Radiohead have expressed their disappointment after the engineer responsible for a 2012 stage collapse which killed their drum technician acknowledged his negligence eight years “too late.”
Scott Johnson lost his life when a stage roof collapsed while he was setting up for the band at Downsview Park in Toronto, Canada, but 13 health and safety charges filed against Live Nation bosses, their engineer Dominec Cugliari and contractors at Optex Staging were stayed in 2017, when a judge ruled the proceedings had “taken too long to complete.”
Earlier this week (begins November 16), officials at the Discipline Committee of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) conducted a hearing to investigate Cugliari’s actions leading up to the tragedy, and during his testimony, the now-retired engineer admitted he was at fault.
However, Radiohead, who has spent years trying to bring Cugliari and event executives to justice, considers his confession too little too late for Johnson and his loved ones.

      See also…

In a statement issued via Instagram on Friday, the bandmates wrote, “Mr Cugliari has acknowledged in this hearing, his catalogue of errors and the negligence on his part that led to the stage collapse and Scott’s death.”

“These admissions are 8 years too late. If the evidence now accepted by Mr Cugliari had been agreed at the original court case brought against him, @livenation and the contractor Optex Staging, it would have been complete in one day, with a very different outcome and some justice would have been delivered. As it is, Mr Cugliari has now retired and, is seemingly beyond any legal recrimination.”
“This is a sad day,” they added. “Our thoughts and love are, as ever, with Scott’s parents, Ken and Sue Johnson, his family and friends, and our crew.”
