EastEnders hunk Paul Nicholls cements pin-up status as he enjoys stroll

Former EastEnders actor Paul Nicholls was spotted enjoying a stroll around trendy Primrose Hill over the festive period.

Paul, 41, who left the popular soap in 1996, looked to be in good spirits as he enjoyed the brisk walk around north London.

Paul earned himself soap hunk status during his time on the show, and he proved he was still quite the heartthrob as he smouldered during his outing.

The actor, who played Joe Wicks on the programme from 1996-1997, was snapped with a mystery female during his outing.

Paul looked to be in good spirits as he chatted to the woman while enjoying the spot of fresh air.

For the outing, Paul donned a camel-coloured coat, which he wore unbuttoned with a white shirt underneath.

He paired the casual top with a pair of stonewashed jeans and some white trainers.

Paul won huge praise during his short stint on EastEnders thanks to his portrayal of his character’s schizophrenia diagnosis.

He was famed for his trademark curtains on the programme, which helped secure him pin-up status.

Ahead of his turn on EastEnders, Paul was a child star, appearing in a number of TV hits, including Children’s Ward, Earthfasts and the Biz.

He won legions of fans after playing teen hunk Joe for two years, but quit the show after battling depression and addiction to alcohol and drugs.

The actor got clean in 2008 and admitted that being thrust into fame was what sparked his off-screen struggles.

Following his departure from EastEnders, Paul bagged several roles on both the big screen and small screen.

He has starred in Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Harley Street, City Central, Law & Order: UK and Holby City.

Paul also acted alongside Hollywood starlet Renee Zellweger in Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason, playing bad boy Jed.
