Andi Peters 'almost blows away' in wind during car crash ITV fail

Andi Peters almost got “blown away” during Wednesday’s Lorraine as a huge gust of wind caused him umbrella to pull him over.

The 50-year-old ITV presenter was in the middle of hosting the competition from the blustery hills of Glenfinnan in Scotland when the wind interrupted the segment.

Lorraine was left in hysterics as Andi lost control and was pulled left and right by the strong elements.

The TV star attempted to regain his footing to continue his presenting duties, but the weather had other ideas as his umbrella was turned completely inside out.

After the hilarious fail, Andi joked with Lorraine and pretended to be blown right out of shot, making her laugh more.

Last month Andi took a cheeky swipe at his co-presenter Ross King, suggesting he was too “old” to understand the GCSE results-day experience.

Joined by doctor Amir Khan, the duo discussed the best coping mechanisms for students who have received disappointing results.

When Ross appeared later on in the show to share the latest showbiz news, Andi took a swipe at his age.

He asked the 58-year-old correspondent whether he was too “old” to have received results in the modern GCSE exam system.

He asked: “Do you remember your GCSE’s or are you old and you did the other ones.”

Thankfully, Ross accepted the swipe graciously and quipped about “dinosaurs roaming the earth” when he was in school.

He said: “We did. We did ‘O-grades’ in Scotland when dinosaurs roamed the world and I had an abacus. And my tablet then really was like a tablet that you chip into.”

Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
