Caroline Flack's boyfriend Lewis Burton shares heartfelt vow ahead of funeral

Lewis Burton paid tribute to his girlfriend, the late Love Island host Caroline Flack on the day of her funeral.

Caroline passed away on February 15th 2019, aged 40.

Burton, 27, shared a loved up snap with his girlfriend as the pair cuddled up and with Lewis planting a kiss on her forehead.

The model and tennis ace shared the adorable picture to his Close Friends list on Instagram hours before Caroline was laid to rest in a ceremony surrounded by close friends and family.

Caroline was seen beaming from ear to ear in the black and white snap as her boyfriend cradled her in his arms.

Caroline’s pal Samantha shared Lewis’ post

Lewis captioned the snap: “My little angel… I will love you forever.”

Caroline’s close pal, Samantha Campbell shared a screenshot of the post on her Instagram story to her 115,000 followers.

The Bleach London owner added: “Love you Lew” alongside a heart emoji and tagged Lewis’ Instagram handle.

Flack’s pal Paul Taylor Mills also took to Instagram to reference the television host’s funeral.

Sharing a picture of a piece of card with the words “You were loved Caroline Louise Flack” written on them, he also wrote a heartfelt message alongside.

Paul captioned his post: “Beautiful girl, today was the day none of us ever imagined was going to happen. It’s messy, it’s hard and I don’t think we’ll ever make sense of how your story ended.

“Today I said goodbye to my special little pocket rocket. Our mischievous little hurricane in hot-pants. You lived and loved so passionately and it’s your incredible spirit that I’ll miss and hold with me forever. You touched more people than most of us will in a lifetime. You inspired me, looked after me and were one of the most loyal souls I’ve ever met.

“Nothing can change what’s happened. But if we can take anything away from this tragedy it’s that every day we have a choice. The easiest choice for us to make is to Be Kind.”

The former Strictly Come Dancing winner was due to appear in court this month after being charged with common assault following an altercation with Lewis – something she had always denied.

Her boyfriend had urged for the charges to be dropped as he didn’t want to press any charges against his girlfriend.

Flack and Lewis were banned from contacting one another by a magistrate but remained a couple in her final months.
