Chris Hughes says 'life was a s*** storm' after Jesy Nelson split

Love Island star Chris Hughes has resurfaced on Twitter after deactivating his account, following the recent break up with Little Mix babe Jesy Nelson.

Just days after the news broke that the pair were no longer an item, Chris decided to delete social media in order to take a complete break.

After a week of taking some time out, fans will be pleased to know that Chris has reactivated his account once again.

Marking his return, he told his following the reason for closing his account was because his “life was a s**t storm” after he’d called it quits with Jesy, 28.

Although the TV personality seemed to be slightly more concerned that in just one week, he’d lost over 500,000 followers on the digital platform.

The reality star wrote: “I closed my twitter for a week because my life was a s**t storm and now I’ve lost 500k followers, lol.”

However, it seemed that news travelled fast that Chris was back as his followers flocked in their masses to follow the former Love Island contestant.

He penned: “Ah it’s just jumped back up 250k wtf. Come on where’s the rest of your faces, this is so weird.”

Later on, both comments were deleted from his Twitter feed, however his account remained active.

The Cheltenham Festival host has exactly had a great month, what with the coronavirus pandemic forcing couples quarantine separately and then later splitting from The Shout Out To My Ex hit maker, Jesy Nelson.

It is believed that their relationship had run its course as they self-isolated apart during the current UK lockdown.

Chris and Jesy had dated for 16 months and seemed to be going from strength to strength while having lots of fun together.

Although friends say the former Bourton Rovers footballer is hopeful the split will not be on a permanent basis and is hoping to rekindle soon.

An insider reported to The Sun: “Chris is absolutely convinced that he is going to be getting back with Jesy just as soon as isolation ends and they can be together again.

“As far as he is concerned, this split is just temporary and actually it’s more of a break than a break-up.

“Chris is still madly in love with Jesy and is convinced she’s just struggling with being apart from him.”
