Colonel Tom appeared remotely on Good Morning Britain today to catch up with show hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.
Always a journalist to go after a scoop Piers asked the chart-topper and NHS fundraiser who he fancied the most out of Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan.
The WW2 hero said that he preferred Susanna, 49, because she was there for the interview.
Piers then cackled over the cheek of his own question.
Colonel Tom, who raised a staggering £33million for the NHS by walking laps of his garden, shared that he’d also be up for throwing himself out of a plane to raise money for good causes.
He said: “Sky-diving, I certainly wouldn’t mind doing that.
“It looks like an amazing thing! I don’t know whether I can withstand that, but the idea seems to be alright.”
Tom also divulged that all of the proceeds from his upcoming autobiography and children’s book will be donated to charity.
Colonel Tom will also be launching his own foundation in the coming weeks with the books funding it.
The Sun on Sunday claimed the war veteran had signed a six-figure deal to sell his life story, and it could be on shelves in as little time as six weeks.
A source alleged to the publication: “Discussions on what will be released are ongoing but any books published will go like hot cakes, that’s for sure.”
Tom, who served in the Yorkshire regiment and fought in Burma, said that fans could expect an “optimistic” autobiography.
He divulged: “I’ve always been an optimistic person, to look on the bright side and things will get better always. Smile when the sun comes out. Look on the bright side and it will all be better in the end.”
