Coronation Street fans could be set to see Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brian) and Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) split up as she continues to keep Gary Windass’ (Mikey North) secret safe.
Sarah has been staying quiet about Gary after the car accident which happened when she confronted him about him killing Rick Neelan.
Since he was hit by the car, after pushing Sarah out of the way of it, she has been protecting him and it seems that won’t be changing any time soon.
Given her history with Gary, Sarah’s husband Adam is pulling his hair out trying to get her to tell the truth – but she won’t budge.
On top of that, Adam is convinced that Gary killed Rick too – and viewers know he’s right to think that.
Speaking of her character’s ongoing protection of Gary, actress Tina O’Brian told Daily Star Online: “I think it could potentially wreck her marriage.
“It’s going to make things really awkward because she knows the truth, and she also knows that Gary has or had feelings for her.”
“He’s told her that and yet he’s marrying someone else, so I think she’s like, ‘Oh, OK.'”
The pair will also share a charged moment with each other, hinting that something more is going to happen between the pair.
Gary is set to marry Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon), but it seems he’s not over his ex Sarah.
Tina told us: “I can understand why Adam does think Sarah has feelings for Gary because she isn’t behaving the way she should, really.
“I do think she should be more open with him. I think she’s got trust issues, so maybe doesn’t want to open herself up.
“But she is under no illusion that if she carries this on she will lose her husband. I think she knows that, but it’s what will she do? Will she betray Gary? I don’t know.”
However, it seems even without Gary, Sarah’s marriage with Adam could be doomed.
Tina said: “He’s a Barlow. Has he got the Barlow genetics? Would he stay? I don’t know.
“I think without Gary on the scene it had a really good chance.”
Coronation Street currently airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm on ITV
