EastEnders fans couldn’t help but notice a blunder during tonight’s episode when Bobby Beale quizzed Dotty Cotton in the garage.
Gesturing for Dotty (Milly Zero) to come out from underneath a car, Bobby (Clay Milner Russell) asked her what she had been discussing with Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) earlier in the day.
Hours previously, Ian refused to give in to Dotty’s demands, after she tried to threaten him over his involvement in Denny Rickman’s death.
As a punishment, Ian locked teenager Denny (Bleu Landau) in a room below deck during the ill-fated boat party, where he later drowned.
Dotty had uncovered proof Ian was behind the crime, but the cafe-owner was tired of her attempts to blackmail him into submission.
Stressed out over her botched attempt to blackmail Ian, Dotty reached up to her face and rubbed it during her conversation with Bobby.
However, the gloves she had been using were covered in car oil, making for a shiny coating of black grease.
Taking to Twitter, certain viewers wondered why Dotty managed to keep her face oil-free, despite using the grubby gloves.

One wondered: “Why would Dotty touch her face with those filthy gloves!!!”
And a second asked: “And it didn’t get on her face?”
While a third added: “Who rubs their face after being under the car fixing it. Dottie does!!”
Later on, Dotty assured Ian his crimes would eventually come to light, threatening to tell Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) the truth about her son’s death.

Ian snapped: “I don’t think I made myself clear. You’ve got no phone, no CCTV, no evidence.”
Dotty replied: “It’s not about that any more. How you can sit there day after day looking her in the eye. That’s a special kind of twisted.
“Sharon might not be ready to hear the truth yet, but when she’s strong enough I’m going to make sure she finds out exactly what kind of a man you really are.”

Before adding: “Until then, I’ll keep reminding you exactly what you did. Get used to having me around Ian, cause I’m not going anywhere.”
Will Dotty tell Sharon the truth about what happened during the boat party?
EastEnders now airs on Mondays and Tuesdays on BBC One at 8pm.
