Emmerdale actress Katherine Dow Blyton joined Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes on This Morning earlier today, teasing her upcoming storyline in the Yorkshire dales.
Her character, Harriet Finch, has recently revisited her torrid affair with crooked copper DI Malone (Mark Womack), behind her unsuspecting boyfriend Will Taylor’s back.
The illicit couple romped together in the chapel this week – leading to a number of angry Ofcom complaints from viewers.
With just a curtain keeping their modesty covered as they got down to business in the vestry, Harriet gave in to “temptation” as viewers watched on in shock.
On This Morning, Katherine revealed Harriet has a taste for “bad boys,” and hinted that she tries to “change” the bent policeman in upcoming scenes.
She said: “She’s a vicar, not a saint. I’m not saying what she did is right. Does give in to temptation at times.
“She’s got a taste for bad boys, what’s a girl to do?
“What she thinks deep inside is that she can change them.”
Katherine added that their relationship could be taken to the next level, saying: “There is obviously still a deep feeling there a deep attraction there. She’s so sick of Will. She’s sick of his lies.”
Wednesday’s episode saw Harriet visit DI Malone in a seedy hotel, leaving fans with a cliffhanger as she crossed the threshold into the room.
Refusing to give away any more information, Katherine said: “That’s all we know. Who knows what’s happened.”
The soap star added: “When we do get back we can continue where we left off it’s going to be very different.”
Romantic scenes will be forbidden once the cast returns to filming, with social distancing guidelines implemented on set to protect the crew.
Katherine announced: “No snogging!”
Eamonn agreed: “That does affect the whole storyline.”
This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am and Emmerdale returns tonight at 7pm, both on ITV
