Emmerdale's Cain Dingle to 'reunite with' ex Moira as he 'admits true feelings'

Emmerdale’s Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) could be set to get back together with his estranged wife Moira (Natalie J Robb) after coming to some realisations during lockdown.

The ITV soap will air some special episodes next week which will see beloved characters stuck at home during the coronavirus lockdown.

Cain and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) are two of the characters who will feature in one of the special episodes.

Emmerdale spoilers reveal that the uncle-nephew duo are set to clash while also coming to terms with their feelings for their estranged spouses.

Viewers will see Cain and Aaron trying to adjust to life in lockdown, with Cain adamant that he won’t be discussing his feelings with his nephew.

Soon enough, a letter with a prison stamp on it arrives and Cain hides it in a magazine to try and avoid Aaron going back into his hole of despair over missing husband Robert Sugden.

As the days go by, Cain and Aaron get drunk and Cain lets slip about the letter, leaving Aaron furious.

But Cain struggles to remember where he hid the letter, which makes Aaron even angrier.

Aaron has a go at Cain and gives him so home truths about him and his estranged wife Moira.

Later on, Cain tries to apologise but struggles to open up to Aaron.

How will Aaron cope with reading the letter and could he be put back into his dark hole?

And will life in lockdown force Cain to admit how he really feels about Moira?

Speaking about the special episodes, actor Jeff Hordley opened up about Cain and Aaron’s dynamics and why Cain chooses to hide the letter.

He said: “He knows Aaron well and he fears that in Cain’s words he will ‘overthink things and go down a rabbit hole’ – which is a quote from the script.

“Cain is just scared his nephew is going to react badly to this letter so he decides for better or for worse to hide it from him.”

Emmerdale airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV
