Emmerdale’s Mark Jordon and fiancée Laura Norton are expecting their first child together.
The exciting news comes two years after the Kerry Wyatt and Daz Spencer stars got engaged.
Opening up in a new interview, Mark, 55, claimed he knew his partner, 37, was pregnant even before they took a test in June.
However, he admitted they had planned to get a house and tie the knot before starting a family together.
Mark said: “In my heart I knew before looking at the test.

“We both looked at the result and there was so much joy, but for a weird moment we were both deadly silent.”
Laura added to OK! magazine: “I had tears in my eyes, we’re over the moon!”
Mark already shares children Joseph, 22, and Poppy, 19, with his former wife Siobhan Finneran.

He admitted that the couple tend not to ‘stick to a plan’, with Laura revealing they were meant to get a puppy two weeks before finding out she’s pregnant.
The baby is due on Mark’s birthday on January 25, with the pair saying they are in ‘no rush’ to find out their gender as they want to focus on welcoming a ‘healthy’ child.

Talking about becoming a mum, Laura added: “It’s something I’ve always hoped would happen. I hope my instincts kick in.
“I feel very calm and safe knowing that I’ve seen what an amazing father Mark and how brilliant his kids are.’
Laura said she was ‘in tears’ at her first scan at a private hospital as partners are not permitted to attend the appointment, due to current coronavirus restrictions.
