Think of the noughties indie scene and you think of Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes and The Libertines.
Take another moment or two and it all starts to come flooding back as Bloc Party, The White Stripes, The Killers, Kings of Leon and Kasabian coming into focus.
But in a golden age, when so many good bands emerged, some were inevitably crowded out.
After one, two or maybe even three or four albums, some of the decade’s most popular bands disappeared without a trace.
Some imploded, others split up and a handful are still writing, recording and performing, much to the pleasure of their loyal fanbases.
