To whet people’s musical appetite further, other musical acts include Razorlight, Kaiser Chiefs, Happy Monday, Natasha Bedingfield and Primal Scream.
Next year’s announcement will no doubt go down well with fans of the festival after this year’s fiesta was pulled due to the coronavirus outbreak.
With mass gatherings banned in a bid to tackle the spread of covid-19, the team said it was “unavoidable” given the pandemic.
“The Isle of Wight Festival will no longer be taking place this year,” they said in a statement.
“This decision has not been taken lightly and we have tried out hardest to make it work, but it was unavoidable given the current status.
“The whole team was excited to welcome everyone to the island for another fantastic festival and we extend our sincere apologies to everyone who was looking forward to it as much as we were.”
Isle of Wight festival will take place in June at Seaclose Park, Newport on the Isle of Wight.
