ITV boss Kevin Lygo confirms I’m A Celebrity 2020 line-up is complete

ITV boss Kevin Lygo has confirmed the line-up to this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity is complete.

The show will be filmed at the haunted Gwrych Castle in North Wales this year, instead of its normal filming location Australia because of the pandemic.

Mr Lygo has told how the full line-up has been confirmed after he feared celebs would pull out of the show because it is being filmed in the UK.

He told how he is “excited” about the new series being filmed in the UK for the first time in its 18-year history.

Speaking to The Sun, he said: “I certainly didn’t want a year without I’m A Celebrity.

“We could just about survive without it, but my God it’s a premier, wonderful thing that has done so well over a long period.

“Australia was always going to be a challenge so we found this extraordinary place in here in North Wales that’s a sort of beautiful, Disney drawn castle crumbling. We just thought it looks like perfect vacation.”

He said he thinks “it’ll be fascinating to see what audiences do” and it will be a “great challenge to producers to come up with different games and different tasks”.

Kevin added he has to make quite a few “big decisions” and knows the team are very stimulated by this.

The TV boss didn’t reveal the full line-up but there’s been rumours about which celebs will be battling the frozen UK temperatures.

Vernon Kay, Vinnie Jones and Katherine Jenkins have allegedly been put forward for this year’s show.

Manchester United legend Eric Cantona is said to be high on the list of I’m A Celeb bosses dream line-up

AJ Pritchard is also reportedly in talks to sign on the dotted line for the reality show after he quit Strictly Come Dancing this year.

Manchester United legend Eric Cantona is said to be high on the list of I’m A Celeb bosses dream line-up, with his funny personality thought to be the main reason.

The castle is said to be haunted by the Countess of Dundonald who died in 1924.

I’m a Celeb 2020 is expected to air in November this year.
