Jameela Jamil took to her Twitter account last night to slam Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan.
The former BBC Radio One presenter branded Morgan, 54, a “bullying parasite” after he made the decision to share private messages from Caroline Flack who died less than a week ago.
Jameela, 33, had previously spoken out about Caroline’s upcoming show, The Surjury – in which people who wanted cosmetic surgery voiced why they wanted to go ahead with the procedures.
Caroline, who died on February 15th had messaged her pal Piers claiming she had been “struggling” with the “hate” Jameela had aimed at her.
Following the death of former Love Island host, Caroline, Piers opted to share the messages – much to Jameela’s shock who later hit back in a scathing attack.
Tweeting to her 1million followers, Jameela said: “Out of respect for Caroline, I will not allow this conversation to carry on in which she can’t respond or speak for herself.
“She would be disgusted her personal messages were shared and weaponized against a woman, by a bullying parasite she thought was her friend. I’m out.”
The presenter later tweeted: “To sell your dead friends private messages for clicks is a low I’ve never imagined anyone capable of.”
Piers and Jameela became embroiled in a feud after he claims he felt the need to speak out after the presenter had recently spoken about online harassment.
Piers shared a screenshot of messages from Caroline reading: “Please have pictures…
“I’m struggling with Jameela…
“The hate she aims at me”.
Alongside the screenshot, Piers said: “Jameela Jamil is having a lot to say about online harassment, so in the interests of balance, here is a message Caroline Flack sent me last October after the same Jameela Jamil led an online pile-on against her regarding a new TV show she was doing.”
Jameela soon hit back, replying: “I simply said I found the show ‘Surjury’ (not her) problematic for kids to watch.
“And that love island needed some more diversity. Both times Caroline instigated debate with ME even though I was not targeting or blaming her at all. I always just politely explained my point.”
Caroline was found dead at her North London home aged just 40. A lawyer for the Flack family confirmed her cause of death was through suicide.
