Kate Garraway has been flooded with well-wishes as her husband remains in intensive care, fighting for his life.
Fans have also sent her inspirational stories of people who have been in a similar position to Derek Draper and have made a miraculous recovery.
Derek has been in a critical condition since the end of March, with Kate revealing he is still in a coma.
Taking to social media, fans of the former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star were keen to remind her of people who had also been fighting for their lives but have come out on the other side.
Multiple fans highlighted the story of Laura Barry, 58, who was admitted to an Irish hospital for six weeks, spending four of those in a coma, but was recently discharged.

One well-wisher said: “This lady Laura has been 6wks in ICU and went home. I can’t imagine your fear and pain with Derek in ICU for these last weeks…
“Sending best wishes to Derek to get well and to you and the kids to keep the spirits up x [sic].”
While a second went on to say: “I hope this will be you soon, this lady’s husband leaving hospital recently after 62 days of Covid treatment. Thinking of you all. xxx.”

A third supporter recalled that a man. had recently been discharged from an intensive care unit after spending over 60 days in hospital.
Last week, the Good Morning Britain star burst into tears during the weekly Clap For Carers, saying she believed it would be the last one.
The 53-year-old said: “Hear this might be the last clap for carers so Billy thought we should get the drums out to go out in style!
“It’s been such a source of weekly comfort for them & me & I must admit I felt the tears come to think it’s coming to an end while our fear for Derek goes on.

“But even if we don’t clap next Thursday it won’t diminish my eternal thanks to all in the #NHS. They are keeping Derek alive & every one of them is fighting as hard as Derek is to give us the chance to be reunited.
“Hope has to keep us all going, doesn’t it? I am having to find new ways of staying strong every day for Darcey & Billy, as I know Derek would want me to.”
She continued: “It’s not easy but when I think of how hard Derek is fighting & the bravery of all in the #NHS it helps.”
Kate added: “Thanks so much for all your messages… Standing together & learning from each other has to get us all through. #hope #love #clapthecarers.”
