Kelvin Fletcher has made his film debut as a dashing secret agent in a World War II drama.
The part comes just months after he lifted the Strictly Come Dancing glitterball trophy with partner Oti Mabuse.
After playing the role of Andy Sugden in ITV’s Emmerdale from 1996 until 2016, this is his first big part since his soap exit.
The hunk appears as special forces operative John Seabourne in We Go In At Dawn.
The film centres on a high-ranking war planner, who is captured and held in a German prisoner of war camp.

Heroic spy Seabourne parachutes into occupied France in a bid to rescue Victor Lawrence, and teams up with local resistance fighter Ellie – played by Audrey L’Ebrellec – to pull off the daring jailbreak.
It’s not the first acting role Kelvin has landed since leaving the BBC dancing show.
Last week it was announced the small screen star has bagged a big money-spinning deal for a panto appearance.

Kelvin will take on the role of Prince Charming alongside CBBC presenter Sam Nixon at Sheffield’s Lyceum for the theatre’s 2020 pantomime, Sleeping Beauty.
The show will run from December 4 to January 3, 2021, and it has been reported he’s set to make £100k for the string of performances.
According to The Sun, while Kelvin’s £100,000 pay packet is a hefty sum, it isn’t the most that a star has been paid for a panto role.
Loose Women Colleen Nolan is reported to have earned in excess of £200,000 for her role of The Fairy Godmother in Bradford’s adaptation of Cinderella.
It has been thought she earned just shy of £3,000 per show across the 72 date run.
