Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan has took to Twitter to share the the news that Kevin Pietersen’s social media account has been suspended.
The British batsman, Kevin, had found himself in trouble with Twitter officials after he had threatened to slap Piers.
The 55-year-old TV host had mocked the South African-born cricketer saying he couldn’t “slap his way out of a paper bag”.
Hitting out at the presenter, Kevin jokingly responded: “@piersmorgan I slap you when I see you! That won’t be nonsense.”

Soon after his account posted the comment, Kevin was suspended from Twitter.
Defending his chum and continuing the banter, Piers took to his own platform to plead with Twitter to reinstate his pal’s account.
He said: “Kevin Pietersen suspended from Twitter for threatening to slap me…
“Amusing though this is, it was an obvious joke and a) I don’t feel remotely harassed b) he can’t slap his way out of a paper bag.
“So, please reinstate him @TwitterUK – this is ridiculous.”
Unsurprisingly, many of Piers’ followers showed up in the comments section to add their thoughts on the matter, with most agreeing that Twitter had got it wrong on this occasion.
One hilarious fan quipped: “Piers I think KP would knock you all over, why not have charity boxing match money goes to NHS?”
A second also joked: “If everyone who wanted to slap you were banned from twitter, there would be no one left!”
While a third blasted: “This site becomes more and more ridiculous.”
Daily Star Online has contacted Twitter officials and Kevin Pietersen’s reps for comment.
Kevin shared at half two that his account has now been reinstated much to his relief.
