Noel Gallagher says Covid-19 face masks are 'b*****ks' and refuses to wear one

Noel Gallagher has hit out at the recent coronavirus guidelines.

The Oasis rocker claims wearing face masks is “b*****ks” and has admitted that he has already been quizzed while out and about over his decision to not wear a face covering.

It has been discussed in parliament that everybody must wear a covering while in a shop, supermarket or on public transport in a bid to tackle the virus.

A limited number of people are exempt from wearing a covering if they are under 11 or have medical reasons.

Manchester-born Noel, 53, appearing on the Matt Morgan podcast said “I don’t wear a mask, no.

“The whole thing is b*****ks. You’re supposed to wear them in Selfridges but you can go down the pub and be surrounded by every other c**t, it’s like well actually, we don’t have the virus in pubs.”

The Don’t Look Back In Anger hitmaker admitted that he was confronted while on a train from London to Manchester by a fellow passenger for his decision to not wear a mask.

He added that there have been “too many liberties” taken as the guidance is not a law.

Noel said: “I choose not to wear one and if I get the virus it’s on me, it’s not on anyone else. If every other c**t wearing a mask I’m not going to catch it off them, and if I’ve got it then they’re not going to catch it off me.

“I think it’s a p***take. There’s no need for it.”

Social media has been set alight with rage following Noel’s controversial comments.

Former X Factor stars, Jedward, tweeted: “Today is gonna be the day @NoelGallagher that we’re gonna throw it back to you, by now you should’ve somehow realised what you gotta do and wear a mask because we’re gonna be the ones that save you and after all, we’re your Wonderwall. Love Jedward and @Liamgallagher.”

Another social media user added: “I can’t understand what his point is. If it’s to say lots of rules are nonsense it’s ok and he’s right. But not wearing a mask is stupid and make things worse.”

While a third tweeted: “Noel Gallagher is a t*sser. The mask isn’t for you! it’s for everyone else! It’s for making sure carriers don’t pass it on!”

Noel’s comments come as the polar opposite to brother Liam, who admitted he didn’t like wearing masks but said it’s “gotta be done”.
