Prince Harry 'being helped into LA life by Princess Diana's pal Liza Minnelli'

Prince Harry is reportedly getting help adjusting to life in Los Angeles from a friend of his late mum Princess Diana, Liza Minnelli.

The 35-year-old is said to have grown close to the showbiz legend, 74, who reportedly reached out to offer her support.

Harry, his wife Meghan Markle and their son Archie moved to California from the UK earlier this year to embark on a more private life.

But he has reportedly found the transition that came with the move “very challenging at times”, with the coronavirus lockdown not helping his situation.

A source told The Sun: “Liza reached out because she was close to Diana and offered her support. She’s been dealing with paparazzi for years, and knows the fame game.

“Obviously, Meghan comes from a theatrical background too, so it’s been great for the three of them.”

It is thought that Princess Diana and actress Liza struck up a friendship in the 1990s, after they met following one of Liza’s shows in the UK.

They were photographed enjoying a few drinks together in London at the Langham hotel in 1991.

Liza spoke of her friendship with Diana in a past interview with Hello magazine.

She said: “I was lucky enough to count Princess Di as a friend.

“I was first introduced to her when she came backstage after a concert I did in London. Then we’d bump into each other at premieres or events where she’d be the guest of honour.

“We’d fall into conversation then we’d meet for tea.”

Liza said that she had a protective instinct with Diana, and that the late Royal “loved music”.

Harry and his family moved to Los Angeles in March just as the coronavirus lockdown was beginning to cause a stir around the world.

They had been living in Canada, however moved not long after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced he wanted to close the US-Canada border to try and help stop the spread of coronavirus.
