SAS: Who Dares Wins 'sign Jake Quickenden and James Cracknell' for new series

SAS : Who Dares Wins are said to have signed up Jake Quickenden and James Cracknell for the new series.

The pair are seemingly well suited to the task as Jake, 32, took part in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! back in 2014 and James, 48, took part in Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls in 2018.

Sources told The Sun Online that Channel 4 hopes to raise the bar with stronger stars next series.

The insider told the publication: “James and Jake are super-fit and should do well given their past pursuits in challenging TV shows. Bosses are keen to have people who won’t collapse at the first hurdle.”

Double Olympian, James is without a doubt a great candidate to take part in the popular programme.

The former rower, who won gold at the 2000 and 2004 Olympic games has turned his hand to media work since retiring.

In 2006 he rowed the Atlantic in 49 days, 19 hours and 8 minutes, alongside Ben Fogle.

The pair wrote a book, The Crossing: Conquering the Atlantic in the World’s Toughest Rowing Race, and were in the BBC Two film “Through Hell and High Water”.

Daily Star Online has contacted their representatives for comment.

YouTuber and Strictly Come Dancing star Saffron Barker reportedly wants to be put through her paces on the reality show.

The 20-year-old social media star is said to be hoping she will get the chance to be a contestant on the show where Ant Middleton puts celebrities through their paces.

A source close to her said: “It would be a dream for Saffron to get the chance.

“She has watched every series and is a big fan.

“Saffron is really hoping producers will pick her.”
