The Chase viewers were left stunned during today’s episode as a contestant makes a huge mistake in a “show first”.
During his first question, Michael completely ran out of time and didn’t choose an answer.
Failing to press the button, his teammates were clearly shocked as Bradley said: “Out of time.”
Then the player revealed which answer he was intending to go for, and it was the correct one.
Chaser Shaun Wallace proceeded to get the answer right so was one step ahead after just one question.
Daily Star Online has contacted ITV to confirm whether it was a show first, but by all reckoning it’s undoubtedly incredibly rare, with one viewer commenting: “Rare for a contestant to be out of time.”

While another wrote: “Out of time ffs.”
“He seemed quite sure on that first question yet he dithered and ran out of time?!!!” added a third.
Yesterday’s episode of The Chase saw Bradley fall into fits of giggles at a hilarious “furry calm” question.
Bradley, who celebrated his 60th birthday yesterday, fell into fits of giggles as he read out the question with some answers littered with innuendos.

He read the question: “Which of these is a crustacean regarded as a delicacy in eastern China?”
As he said the potential answers, the ITV host couldn’t help but laugh out loud, saying through giggles: “A, Hairy crab, B, Furry clam…”
Bradley was forced to stop as he fell into a laughing fit while chaser Mark Labbett smirked.

Bradley managed to read out the answers again, before adding: “C, Shaggy prawn.”
Walsh composed himself after the hilarious innuendo, and continued with the episode after the funny TV moment.
