Amanda Holden was getting right into the football spirit with the Euros underway, but it doesn’t look like she’ll be starting for England anytime soon!
The Britain’s Got Talent star, 50, had decided she’d take part in some light-hearted footballing fun on Heart Breakfast, which she co-hosts, when she lost all balance and ended up falling over completely.
The early radio show had knocked up their own mini indoor football pitch for their presenters to play on, and Amanda was ready to take on the challenge and demonstrate her soccer skills when things went pear-shaped.
Amanda clearly saw the funny side of the sporting blunder because she posted a video of the incident on Instagram on Monday (June 14) for her 1.7million followers to have a laugh at, and to top it all off the clip even had a slow-motion replay.
Amanda could be seen bursting forward as the whistle blew, in an attempt to take the ball before her opponent – Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts – got a hold of it.
However, she ended up bravely going in for a big two footed tackle on her unwitting rival and crashed to the floor prompting the studio to erupt with laughter.
Jamie Theakston, her co-host on Heart Breakfast, joined in on the fun and mock commentated on the game and cried out “goodness me!” as Amanda hit the floor, continuing: “A flying two-footed tackle from Amanda Holden early on!”

Amanda, who also appears on I Can See Your Voice, then poked fun at herself, writing: “I think that’s a red card for me,” along with a crying laughing face.
You could almost picture her BGT co-judge Simon Cowell saying “it’s a no from me”, but Amanda’s celebrity pals and fans were in complete stitches at the golden footy moment, and they came prepared with football puns too.
Singer Ashley, who is one of Amanda’s best mates and colleagues, joked: “Sliding into the new week like.”
One laughing fan then had some tongue-in-cheek feedback for the judge, as they wrote: “At least you fell in an athletic controlled way.”
A second giggling fan wrote: “Yep definitely a three match ban by a clear mile.”
And a third agreed and cheekily quipped: “Not sure about a red card but I’m sure you’ll have a red bottom after that.”
