IT looks like SAS: Who Dares Wins hardman Ant Middleton has gone soft.
The foul-mouthed chief instructor seems to have toned down his swearing.
In last night’s opening episode of the new Channel 4 series he only shouted the F word 20 times.
This compares to him doing it a whopping 70 times in last year’s launch show.
Even though there were 33 F-words in total throughout, Ant and his crew – Melvyn Downes, Jason Fox and Mark Billingham – look like they are trying to keep their language in check.
A source said: “Maybe they are worried that in this woke day and age, people will get offended and complain.”
Ant could not hold his tongue when the 21 new recruits – including a transgender circus performer – messed up as
they faced his team’s gruelling challenges.
His potty mouthed comments included “You’re a f****** embarrassment”, “F*** this up and you’re off the course”, “F***ing s**t everywhere” and “No more f***-ups!”.
The show had four quitters in the first episode.
And one of the recruits, called Anthony, was revealed to be an undercover agent working for Ant.
The latest SAS series was filmed last year and since then Ant and Channel 4 have parted company.
The TV channel claimed their relationship was brought to end because of his “personal conduct” and their views and values “were not aligned”.
Female recruits have come forward alleging he made “lewd comments” on set and during the BLM demos last year, Ant posted a message on Twitter calling protesters “scum”.
Ant previously told Australian Radio he was ‘too hot to handle for the UK’ when talking about leaving the show after series 6.
Speaking to The Kyle and Jackie O Show, the 40-year old said: “I’m too hot to handle for the UK.
“With the UK version, once that final string pinged from my grasp and it was being controlled by health and safety, and it’s being controlled by the production, then yeah we butted heads a bit and we parted ways a bit sourly.”
