BBC Breakfast weather presenter Owain Wyn Evans left The One Show hosts concerned when he revealed the gruesome injuries he’s suffered while competing in a charity drumathon.
The star is currently attempting to drum continuously for 24 hours in order to raise money for Children In Need, and appeared on the show via video link to share an update with presenters Harry Judd and Lauren Laverne.
10 hours into his epic feat, Owain was joined by plenty of celebs along the way including Harry himself, along with comedian Al Murray.
Lauren kicked off the questions by asking: “I heard you on 6 Music this morning, Owain, saying you’ve got very soft hands! How are your mitts holding up?”
Giggling, Owain said: “Oh my goodness! They’re still soft, I’ve got to be honest. They’re holding up all right.”
But he sparked concern when he continued: “I’ve got a couple of cuts, my arms are starting to ache now and my back is aching as well, but oh my goodness this is just amazing to be part of, you two, and I’m having a great time!”
He added: “We’ve just learnt, actually, that we’ve raised over half a million already!”
The One Show crew congratulated Owain on his amazing achievements, as he went on to perform some hit tracks – including the Strictly Come Dancing theme tune.
Fans immediately flocked to Twitter to comment on Owain’s performance, with one posting: “Owain Wyn Evans is absolutely gonna be on #Strictly next year!”
It isn’t the first time the presenter has sustained an injury while playing his instrument.
The weatherman sustained a black eye back in October while training for the drumathon, and shared a snap of his poorly face on social media.
His snap showed him with a growing purple bruise at the bridge of his nose and dark shadows around his right eye.
The presenter’s strawberry blonde hair was artfully ruffled for the candid snap, while a hint of stubble showed at his jawline.
Writing alongside the post, Owain penned: “BBC Breakfast Drumathon training update.
“This weekend I bashed myself in the face with a drumstick and as a result have a bruised nose and potential black eye,” he explained with a crying emoji.
“Hope you’ve had a productive Monday my sweet things! xxx”.
He’s even accidentally smashed a wall in his home with a drumstick while practicing for the big day.
But it appears Owain is dedicated enough to his craft – and to raising money for charity – that he’s planning to persevere regardless.
