Carol Vorderman has been documenting her at-home workouts on social media – and the results are starting to show.
The former Countdown host, 60, couldn’t hide her excitement on Wednesday afternoon when she realised she’d sculpted an “ab” thanks to her hard work.
Hiking up her grey T-shirt, the BBC Radio Wales star snapped her progress after her workout, taking a photograph of her midriff.
Showing off the side of her toned waist in the snapshot, the ab definition was clear above the waistband of her leggings.
Taking to her caption, she celebrated by writing: “I’ve found an ‘ab’.
“Actually getting stronger and weights at my age helps everything inside…….and I LOVE IT.”
In the thread below, Carol’s 456,000 followers praised her commitment to working out, revealing they’d been inspired to take on a new training plan of their own.
One said: “Replying to @carolvorders Wow! That’s amazing! I’m 60 myself and trying to get back into shape, going on lots of walks but need to start working out again as well.”
In response, Carol advised her follower to begin weight training, confirming it will help to create muscle definition.
She said: “I think the walking is excellent and key but the weights make all the difference to strength so you can even walk better and more smoothly.”

And, when another fan praised her “teeny tiny ickle waist,” Carol replied: “I’m trying hard Anna……important now I’m 60….
“About being strong xxx to be able and fit enough to do the things I want to do like paddleboarding and dance xx.”
Carol has also been intermittent fasting in recent weeks, limiting herself to eating in a shorter window each day in a bid to get fitter.
The Welsh radio star makes no secret of her love of exercise, and previously admitted she does upwards of 20,000 squats every single year.

During a 2019 appearance on Lorraine, she explained: “In terms of squats, or the equivalent of squats, I probably do over 20,000 a year… that’s a lot.”
Carol also takes a mindful approach to her figure, refusing to weigh herself and instead focusing on feeling good about herself.
She added: “I haven’t weighed myself since 1999. I don’t actually know how much I weigh and I don’t care because I go on my dress size, thank god for lycra!”
