Cheryl in first public appearance since Sarah Harding death as she meets Prince Charles

Cheryl has made her first public appearance since the death of Sarah Harding.

The singer posted pictures on Instagram showing her with Prince Charles at the Prince’s Trust Cheryl’s Trust Centre in Newcastle, which she opened in 2018.

It’s thought to be the first time that Cheryl has stepped out for a public event since her Girls Aloud bandmate Sarah lost her life to cancer in September.

The singer previously said she was taking “some time to sit with [her] feelings” as she tried to deal with her grief.

Fans were pleased to see the Fight For This Love singer in the snaps, which showed her looking stunning in a form-fitting brown dress and a long tweed coat.

The star went for natural-looking makeup and wore her lustrous brown hair pulled back, with a few loose tendrils escaping around her face.

“It was so incredibly special to go back to my centre with the Prince’s Trust and HRH Prince Charles today,” she wrote in the caption.

“To meet the eight young people who have been through the most recent ‘Team programme’ and hear how much it’s changed their lives really was so inspiring.

“The work the Prince’s Trust do really is so important in helping young people succeed.”

Fans flocked to the comments section to drop heart and flaming hot emojis as they welcomed the star back to the limelight.

“Great to see you, Cheryl,” said one of her admirers, while another said she was “so so beautiful”.

Another posted: “Proud of you always and endlessly.”

“Lovely to see you again,” said another.

Cheryl has kept a low profile on social media since losing her bandmate, and weeks after Sarah passed away she pulled out of Birmingham Pride as she continued to grieve.

She posted a message on Instagram at the time saying that she was “not emotionally, mentally or physically able” to perform as she mourned.

“Saying goodbye to somebody you spent such a massive piece of your life with is like nothing else,” wrote Cheryl, 38.

“My heart is heavy. Grief is such a harsh experience and an absolute rollercoaster of emotions.

“Questions without answers and pain without resolve. So tumultuous and constant.”
